Unhook is intentionally small and local. Here are the common setup notes for the beta.
Protection is unavailable
On Android, accept the system VPN prompt and make sure another VPN or Private DNS mode is not taking over. On iPhone, protection requires a real iPhone and Screen Time authorization; the simulator cannot prove filtering.

What Unhook can and cannot block
Unhook is a practical DNS / Screen Time boundary, not a tamper-proof filter. Secure DNS, Private DNS, other VPNs, direct IPs, cached answers, proxies, and content inside allowed apps may bypass it. Android protection may need to be re-enabled after a reboot.
Local data
Check-ins, points, intention, and custom rules stay on the device. To erase them, use Settings inside Unhook. There is no account recovery or cloud backup.
Version
The current beta is version 0.1.0. The app is free and has no ads, analytics, subscription, or in-app purchase.
