Privacy policy

Unhook is a free personal tool from EzzyApps. It is designed to keep progress and website rules on your phone. This policy explains what the app does and does not collect.

Information stored on your device

Unhook stores your intention, check-ins, points, streak history, reset rewards, and custom blocked or allowed domains in local app storage. This information is used only to provide the app’s features on your device.

Unhook does not create an account, upload progress, sync data to a server, or maintain a cloud copy. Android backup and device-transfer backup for app progress are disabled. Uninstalling the app removes its local data.

Website protection

On Android, Unhook uses the system VPN service to route supported DNS requests through a local filter. Matching blocked domains are answered locally. Allowed DNS requests use the network’s existing DNS servers. Unhook does not operate a remote VPN server, save browsing history, or save a DNS query log.

On iPhone, Unhook asks for Screen Time / Family Controls authorization and uses Apple’s adult-content web filter. Apple’s system frameworks control the filtering behavior and authorization status.

Information we do not collect

• No name, email address, account, or contact list.
• No browsing history, DNS query history, or website content.
• No analytics, advertising identifiers, crash reporting, or tracking.
• No precise location, payments, subscriptions, or cloud synchronization.

Third-party services and libraries

The app uses operating-system APIs supplied by Android and Apple for networking, VPN consent, Screen Time authorization, and local storage. The bundled domain list is shipped with the app and is not downloaded at runtime. Sources and licenses are listed in the app’s open-source notices.
